The Vault is an MMA inspired gym and athletic center that inspires more than just physical fitness. It instills a warrior like mentality encouraged by traditional values of self-discipline, trust, respect and value. The Vault has successfully reinforced the need for holistic four quadrant strengths of mental, emotional, spiritual and physical, with the key purpose of the gym providing a healthy lifestyle and mentality around personal strengths.
Since its inception in 2013, The Vault has been successful in overcoming many barriers and has been resiliently building this small business into a powerful impact on community wellbeing. Vault now a well-known Mixed Martial Arts training facility that resides in Listuguj, Quebec. The Vault has overcome many challenges but has always prevailed and remains a successful establishment to this day.
The Vault offers a unique training facility with an open mat and high intensity interval style training with a mix of strength and conditioning training, while members have access to the gym they also can enjoy the structure of focused classes. The gym has a diverse choice of equipment such as: punching bags, Mauy thai bags, upper cut and speed bags, focus pads for boxing, boxing gloves, clothing for training, strength and conditioning medicine balls, kettlebells, weights, bars, battle ropes, ladder, TRX bands, and other various gym equipment.
The Vault gained notoriety when many local athletes in MMA, BJJ and boxing trained, hosted classes and were sponsored by The Vault. The types of classes that were offered to members are kickboxing, Mauy Thai, boxing, Brazilian Jujitsu, and strength and training classes. Coming soon will be our Yoga Studio.
is a Mi’gmaq mother of two born and raised in Listuguj, Qc. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education, and currently is enrolled in leadership courses. Currently, Nicole is an educator in her community AGS elementary school. Nicole is a beloved community member and role model for Matriarchal women. Nicole is a part owner of “The Vault” and hopes to open her own Yoga studio on the upper level of a new building that will house both The Vault gym and merchandise.
is a proud Mi’gmaq born and raised in Metepenagiag First Nation, New Brunswick, and currently resides in Listuguj, Quebec. Dwayne proudly has 15 years of sobriety and prominently utilizes it while working as a youth intervention worker and attained 10 years of experience as an addiction counselor. Dwayne is part owner of the “The Vault” Mixed Martial Arts combat gym, which promotes physical activity as a healthy lifestyle and method to ensure a positive mindset. Dwayne’s life motto is “Passion, Heart and Drive” motto, which has brought him great success with helping to instill First Nation pride and help people believe in their own dreams. Through motivational speaking, Dwayne is able to inspire and motivate people of all ages to overcome and prevent addictions by promoting a healthy active lifestyle while incorporating the traditional First Nation teachings.
